Willow Wood Neighborhood Association participates in Omaha’s city-wide Spring Clean Up each spring. The scheduled Saturday varies from year to year, but always takes place from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Trucks will be on Erskine Street just east of 132nd Street. Tires and appliances will NOT be accepted at our site, call 402-444-4636 on Saturday for that location. Please share this information with your neighbors! Volunteers are always needed to spend an hour or so helping to answer questions and direct drop-offs during the event.
You can find out when and where this year’s Neighborhood Cleanups will be available for other neighborhoods by calling 402-444-4636.
Disposal opportunities for bulky items or difficult-to-dispose-of items such as chairs, couches, appliances and tires will be available in participating neighborhoods across the city. Spring Cleanup also offers the opportunity to dispose of large limbs and brush not eligible for the city’s weekly yard waste collection.
Each cleanup site will have vouchers available that will cover the disposal cost of tree limbs and brush at an off-site location that day. Appliances, tires and automotive batteries will be collected at only one designated site each Cleanup Saturday. These locations can be obtained by calling 402-444-4636. Full railroad ties will not be accepted at any locations.
