About Us

The Willow Wood subdivision was developed in the 1970s. It contains more than 800 medium priced single family homes and town homes. The operation of the subdivision was conducted by an SID until 2008 when the area was annexed by the City of Omaha.

At the time of the annexation there was no homeowner or neighborhood association in existence. Several concerned neighbors organized and formed the new association with the help of The Neighborhood Center.

The purpose of the Association is to enhance and improve the quality of life in the neighborhood through encouragement of communication and relationships among residents, in matters of public services, environmental protection, crime prevention, and participation in the civic life of Omaha.

Since that time the Association has developed and maintained an Association web site, held monthly meetings, conducted annual elections, participated in the Annual Spring Clean Up and conducted numerous other projects and events such as a July 4th Kiddie Parade and a National Night Out event. These events help to foster a sense of community throughout the neighborhood.
